Vesper ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Vesper mobile application and related services (together, the "Service") collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, a securely hashed password, and an optional display name. We never store your password in plain text.

1.2 Astrology profile

To produce a personalized chart, we ask for your birth date, optional birth time, and birth place. From the birth place we resolve a latitude, longitude, and time zone. This information is used solely to compute your astrological readings and is treated as personal data.

1.3 Usage and device information

We collect basic technical information needed to operate the Service, including device type, operating system, application version, and crash diagnostics. This information helps us keep the app stable and secure. It is not used to build advertising profiles.

1.4 Subscription information

When you purchase a Premium subscription, the App Store or Google Play handles the payment. We receive only the receipt needed to confirm your entitlement. We never receive your full credit card details.

1.5 Optional content you create

If you save readings, send messages to Astro AI, or otherwise add content inside the app, that content is stored on our servers so we can show it back to you on your devices.

2. How We Use Information

• To compute and display your personalized horoscopes, charts, and compatibility readings.
• To authenticate you, secure your account, and prevent abuse.
• To deliver Premium features when you subscribe.
• To respond to your support requests.
• To improve the Service through aggregated, non-identifying analytics.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information only with the service providers required to run Vesper:

• App Store and Google Play, for subscription billing and receipt validation.
• Cloud infrastructure providers that host our servers and database.
• Optional crash and error reporting providers, when enabled.

These providers may only process your data on our behalf and under contractual obligations to keep it confidential and secure. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

4. Astro AI and Generated Content

Astro AI uses your chart data and your prompt to compose a response. The prompts and responses may be stored to improve quality and provide history inside the app. Your chart data is not used to train any third party model.

5. Age Requirement

Vesper is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, birth data, saved readings, and Astro AI history within thirty days, except where we must keep limited records to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

7. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and correction. You can view and update your profile in the app.
• Deletion. You can delete your account and associated data from inside the app, or by following the steps on our account deletion page.
• Subscription management. Cancel or change your subscription at any time from your App Store or Google Play account.
• Communications. You can disable push notifications in your device settings.
• Regional rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA. Email us to exercise them.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, scoped access tokens, and least-privilege access for our team. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to use a strong password and to keep your device up to date.

9. International Transfers

Vesper operates internationally. By using the Service, you understand your information may be processed in countries other than the one in which you live. We use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
