Delete your account

Vesper is the personalized astrology app published by FlowTasks. This page explains how you can permanently delete your Vesper account, what is removed when you do, and what we are required to keep.
1. From inside the app (recommended)
If Vesper is still installed on your device, this is the fastest path and requires no email exchange.
- Open Vesper and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Tap the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete my account.
- Type the word
DELETEwhen prompted to confirm. - Tap Permanently delete.
Your account is removed from our servers immediately. You will be signed out and returned to the welcome screen.
2. By email (if you have already uninstalled Vesper)
If you no longer have Vesper installed, you can still request deletion.
- Send an email to [email protected] from the email address you used to register.
- Use the subject line Vesper account deletion request.
- If you can, mention your registered email address in the body so we can locate the account quickly.
We confirm receipt within one business day and complete deletion within seven days. If we cannot verify that the request comes from the account owner, we will ask one identifying question (for example, the date your account was created) before proceeding.
3. What is deleted
When deletion completes, the following data is permanently removed from our active systems:
- Your account record (email address, hashed password, display name).
- Your astrology profile (birth date, birth time, birth place, derived coordinates and time zone).
- Saved horoscopes, compatibility readings, and birth charts you created or saved.
- Astro AI conversation history attached to your account.
- Push notification device tokens registered to your account.
- Authentication tokens (you will be signed out on every device).
4. What is kept, and why
A small set of records is retained either because the law requires it or because we cannot honour rights and obligations without it. None of these records is used to recreate your profile.
- Subscription and payment records: retained for up to seven years to comply with tax, accounting, and consumer-protection obligations. We never receive your full payment card details; what we keep is the receipt identifier and the entitlement window issued by the App Store or Google Play.
- Operational logs: server access logs are kept for up to ninety days for security and abuse prevention. After ninety days they are purged in the normal log-rotation cycle.
- Backups: encrypted database backups are retained on a thirty-day rolling cycle. Your data falls out of every backup no later than thirty days after deletion.
- Records of the deletion request itself: we keep a minimal record (date and email subject) so we can show, if asked, that we honoured the request.
5. Cancelling your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription billed by the App Store or Google Play. To stop recurring charges, manage your subscription from your store account before deleting your Vesper account.
- App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Vesper → Cancel.
- Google Play: Play Store app → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Vesper → Cancel.
